Last day at work

Tomorrow the tree and the decorations go up, and I gather greenery from the garden for a few arrangements.  I'm about to shut down the 'office' computer, and will not attempt anything in the way of serious work until next year.  For some unfathomable reason today I'm feeling unreasonably ? optimistic.
I wish you all a pleasurably satisfying holiday.

  1. Sounds like a good plan, the closing down of the "office" as you put up your decorations. I applaud your feeling of unreasonable optimism! I believe this is the way we are going to get through the coming year, remaining optimistic in the face of so much negativity, refusing to succumb to the doom and gloom we are constantly barraged with. I'm thinking that my resolution word will be "endure" which on the surface may not sound positive or inspirational as it is so often associated with suffering, but really, is that not what life is about, understanding that good or bad, if we endure in terms of its other meaning - to last -, we have won at least one battle. And while much that bothers us on a daily basis comes and goes, the important thing is that we remain, steady and calm and enduring.

Returning your wish to you - have a most enjoyable holiday!

    1. Thanks for your good wishes Sheila.

All the deaths this year, both celebrity and drownings etc., and the persistence of horrid aspects of humans, led me to think about constraints in life. I have a general thought that constraints can aid creativity - so with that thought I shall face firmly forwards.

  3. I hope you had a good day yesterday Olga, and that the optimism continues - hope and optimism is what's needed in these times we live in.
