Quietly, into Spring

Doodle in progress

  1. Yes, a tranquil scene with that link between sheep and knitting. Makes me want to go there and sit a spell.

  2. This doodle is most evocative. I can feel the warmth, smell the grass and hear the munching of the sheep and the clacking of the knitting needles as I look. Perhaps it has something to do with the use of fresh spring colour after the long winter.
I wonder what she's thinking as she knits!

  3. Thank you both. I am feeling rather tranquil, and enjoying the gentle daily developments of Spring.

  4. I really like the 'title' and can envision this as a finished piece - as the knitter with a far-off gaze doodling - as the sheep grazing in a doodle-y manner - as the whole in progress and doodling meditatively. It's a lovely piece with its serenity and calm - its juxtaposed-symbiotic figures - and sweet colors.

    1. Thank you so much Mary. I am not quite sure about the stitching yet -so often I am seduced by the two-dimensionality of the screen into an image which will not work well with stitch. But I'm happy with this so far, and will let it stew for a wee while to see where it points next.
