Wondrous encounter

Today I found two films by Alison F Bell.  The films involve textile work -
and one on the sea shore.  Both move me, and for me require no further words.

  1. I have no words to describe how this groundbreaking work has made me feel.... I am awed and stunned, and need to look at it some more, and reflect.

I also need to explore her blog which also looks very interesting. Thank you, Olga.

    1. I am delighted Eirene that you too find this work so powerful. Like you I shall be visiting the films and Alison Bell's website again and again.

  2. oh wow Olga. Thank you for introducing me to alison Bell. Just to address the idea of ageing - that is brave. I used to think I was ageing when I was in my 40's - but my colleagues told me "no. Wait", they said. "You will know when you are truly ageing". Now I am in my 60's and am so glad to be aware of this artist (and you too). xo

    1. Judy, one overwhelmingly wondrous aspect of the Internet is the way one can follow one's curiosity to find such treasures as Alison Bell and her work - and all these enriching bloggers! It is good to be able to pass on discoveries, just as it is such a rewarding delight to find more enlightenment through others.

As for ageing, I have only in the past years felt old, due to my arthritis slowing me down - and my no longer keeping up with technology (iphones, social media, etc.). In my early thirties I reached the age I had always felt to be, and have remained the same in my mind until about ten years ago. I too am in my 60s, now completing my 70th year, and when I think about it am astonished and sometimes distressed to find myself here.
Stumbling into Alison Bell's website has somehow inspired me to ameliorate the distress.
