The beauties of beige

Yesterday we went to Hauser and Wirth's Somerset gallery.  The Piet Oudolf designed garden is splendid in its dormant season.

    1. Karen, they certainly come into their own in the landscape in winter round here.

    1. Yes, Mags, especially when the sun shines. The range of tones in fact is astonishing when looked at closely and as the light changes.

  3. I love his instagrams too- such wavey contemplative gardens

  4. Dijanne, I have not seen his instagrams as I do not follow that medium, but I have visited a couple of other Oudolf gardens and agree that they are delightfully contemplative at any time of year.

    1. It's a wondrous winter garden, Marja-Leena, and reminded us once more that we want more grasses and flowers with seedheads in our own garden.
