Abundance

On Sunday we decided to take an outing to Wisley, a garden which we had not visited for a year or so.  It was a bright sunny day - usually not suitable for photography - but the 'prairie' planting is just stunning.  The mix of shapes and shadows, tones and colours was entrancing.
There was a duck with two teenage ducklings in the pond above.

  1. Gorgeous garden, lovely pics despite the bright sunshine.

  2. Thank you, Eirene. Wisley is really at its best now with all these plantings reaching maturity. It is a garden we have been visiting for decades, and we have never seen it better.

  3. Heavenly, those meadows. I've been spending time at Olympic Park - in May the meadows were gorgeous, now they're shades of brown (seedheads) among the seer grasses, but still of interest. There's scarcely time to stop for photos - we're whizzing by on bikes. Maybe they'll have that wonderful hillside of california poppies again next year.

  4. Margaret I have been following your pix of Olympic Park and admire the planting. My experience with California Poppies is that they do self seed copiously - wondrous beasties.
