Threading thoughts ... on figuring it all out ...
My favourite colour! Nice activity - I might try it too in these heat doldrums.
Marja-Leena, I find that this kind of activity is great for fun, and, more seriously can help shake up my thinking - as you say, during a slack time.
That was quite fun! You captured red in both unexpected and common places. And wherever you found it, it always popped!
Thanks, Sheila. The photos were not primarily taken because of the colour red specifically. It was fun trawling through the files to see where red popped out of the thumbnails - then enjoying the pix once enlarged.
I love that small bike and the lady with the wine-coloured hat ... and matching socks. What fun it is to find and record idiosyncrasy as well as the commonplace and to put them side by side!
Margaret, the bike was full size, outside New Threads quilt shop in Andover. I do find it stimulates the mind to use a narrow criterion such as colour to sift images. It is a lovely exercise too, as I imagine you and the other rainbow colours group of bloggers have found.
Lovely images, some quite quirky and fun. I particularly like the first one - the red poppy and in the far background a poppy field. Beautiful.
Thanks, Eirene. The one you like was taken in Oxfordshire a few years back. We saw the view as we were driving past, and luckily found a space to stop at the roadside to take photographs.
