Threading thoughts ... on figuring it all out ...
OlgaReally like this.Very interesting
Lovely! I enlarged the image to look closer - is there text under the squares? Very intriguing work, and a new colour palette for you, it seems.
Hmmm ... looks a bid sad ... but then : the branche with the flowers brightens it all up ....(wonder what all the words under the grays are ...)
Thank very much - all of you. I was not feeling sad at all, simply contemplating the different qualities of the greys of January, and took elements from my existing files to make this. The figure is a blind drawing of mine that always speaks to me of listening to music. The squares are tests I did of all the grey coloured pencils I have, and mixes of them - so the words underneath each square are notes of that. The branch is simply a scribble I did while waiting for something or someone at some point, and I scanned it and inverted it for this design.
How very gentle and contemplative this is. I'm most intrigued by your explanation above of the origin of the squares. They suggest a different sort of thinking ...
Now I'm intrigued ... a different sort of thinking?? I certainly made the squares many years ago, and while I was in the final throes of my publishing career.
