and suddenly thinking that I'd like to do a little bit of drypoint once the printmaking classes start again, - and always ready for a cup of coffee ... this image popped into my head.
Meantime, peacefully, everything else has begun: preparations for printmaking on Friday, back to stitching, the first letter samples for ALAW, January jobs in the garden, and the first visit to an exhibition of the year at the weekend. The only slight negative note was because of the mechanics of this blog - I could not load pictures from my files until I had downloaded Google Chrome. But all seems well now that I've done that. Hey ho.

Great thoughts here, and nice to see Picasso's drawings and hear about your return to your work. I too had my first day at the studio yesterday.
Drypoints were a favourite medium for me in my early years of printmaking. I do keep thinking of this big sheet of copper I've been storing for some special project...
And work on the blog keeps coming up for me too.
Marja-Leena, my drypoints are on acrylic rather than metal. I'm afraid that I'm not in any way a technical purist as far as printmaking is concerned. I'm too eager to get to the print which I can then further manipulate! But I certainly enjoy the drawing in the platemaking process.
