Wishing you all

who pause to read, a Happy Hogmanay!

The weather in the UK recently has been and is windy and wet, so I thought that this piece of Alfred Lord Tennyson's might be appropriate for the edge of the years:

I stood on a tower
I stood on a tower in the wet,
And New Year and Old Year met,
And winds were roaring and blowing;
And I said, 'O years that meet in tears,
Have you aught that is worth the knowing?

Science enough and exploring,
Wanderers coming and going,
Matter enough for deploring,
But aught that is worth the knowing?'

Seas at my feet were flowing,
Waves on the shingle pouring,
 Old year roaring and blowing,
And New Year blowing and roaring.

I certainly believe that there is always something worth knowing, and as time goes on I want to explore more of what is around in the UK, before dashing off superficially to far flung destinations.  Besides, when my mind wants to wander, at my fingertips I have the treasure chest - which has not yet turned into a Pandora's box.
Tempus doesn't half fugit!  See you all next year.
